Our blog is called 2leftfeet, but given how many things we have managed to kick and hurt our feet, we may rename it 2hurtfeet…these latest ones were the result of uneven pavements in Antigua, Guatemala and kicking some submerged rocks whilst learning to surf in El Salvador….
Two sunny weeks in El Zonte in El Salvador. Ali successfully mastered the art of surfing with the aid of his personal teacher -Teco, but the daily show of local pro surfers in action did little for his self confidence! Other activities during the two weeks included; sleeping, reading (a lot!), sitting/lying in hammocks, watching the waves, eating, more sleeping, making friends with Canadians and English alike, sunbathing (a lot!), swimming in sea/pool, running away from the huge iguana at the hotel, bit more swimming and watching the locals play football on the beach every night. A great place to be lazy, learn to surf and generally forget the worries of the world…
Back when I used to come here in the 90s, I had to have 3 armed guards just to go swimming….
