Colonia Del Sacremento in Uruguay, a beautiful little colonial town only 50KM by water to Buenos Aires. Days were spent wandering around sleepy cobbled streets, drinking wine on the common, or eating……
Also home to the worst accommadation of the trip so far, a damp, mouldy, smelly disgusting room……
A few days in Montevideo, the tiny capital of Uruguay.It rained a lot, so we made up for this by eating!!! Mainly Super sweet cakes and mountains of meat fresh off the grill! A pretty city…lots of beautiful old buildings but less rain would be nice.
A place dear to all football fans hearts, the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Uruguay, where the first ever World Cup Final was held back in 1930. Sadly, the stadium has seen better days….and needless to say Zoe LOVED the tour, especially the museum, definitely one of the highlights of the trip for her so far….
Saturday night out in Montevideo, Uruguay at 120 year old drinking establishment Fun Fun Baar, listening to some amazing live Tango with some famous folks from yesteryear, all washed down with Uvitas (Very sweet fortified wine), Medio y medio (Bottle of half white wine and half sparking) and fried stuff…..

Rush hour in Punta Del Diablo, Uruguay….
Punta Del Diablo, our home for a week, cute, tiny little fishing town…more or less deserted for most of the year, beaches to ourselves, no ATMs (as we discovered having to take a 5 hour round trip to get money from another town….) …so peaceful, we want to buy land here when we get rich….
